  • Hard and fast ( বাঁধা ধরা ) There is no such hard and fast rule in this matter.
  • To the contrary ( কাহারও বক্তব্যের বিপক্ষে ) In the court he said nothing to the contrary.
  • In the nick of time ( ঠিক সময়ে ) The school team arrived in the nick of time.
  • Bring to light ( প্রকাশ করা ) At last all the facts were brought to light.
